- In bed – 11.09pm
- Lights off – 12.31am
- Woke up – 8.45am
A day in uni today, and had a bunch of work to do. That’s about it. I think my dream prep was much better today. Though in-bed wasn’t too much, despite not sleeping for at least an hour as predicted.
Dreams
6.39am – This dream was so clear and easy to remember when I woke up, it was like they used to be a few months ago… Only I fell asleep, far too comfortable and tired. Whoops. All I recalled when I woke up next time was that it was a moving house dream. I call a day influence here again, as a few minutes before lights off we leaned that we were being evicted because the new landlords want the place for themselves (we didn’t even know it was for sale). So that sucked.
7.07am – Emma Watson was shooting a VT for her being on a celebrity X-Factor or something like that. She was singing a really nice dreamsong, a soft acoustic rock song, playing guitar as well. I went to check the electric meter in the house (another day influence as it happens), and saw that it was way more than it should be. So I came back and told JLS, whose house it actually was, and they weren’t happy that all of their money had gone already and they were broke. They were in a game show as well, and had guessed the right price of £67,000 for a sleep mask that played films directly to your brain (this could have easily been a dream mask).
8.39am – I couldn’t sleep at all, certain that I was going to lie awake until the alarm went off. Until I fell asleep at around 8am. I was in a locker room about to go and play a game of football or something. And, different from other times, I’m not sure there was any trigger here, I just knew that I was dreaming, or didn’t mind if I wasn’t because I wanted to try and do something magic or fantastical. A team member came in dressed in a full suit, so I focused really hard and managed to change it into a football strip. Again different from all the others I have had, this lucid dream was far hazier, harder to recall the details; I would say that my lucidity levels here were not at their full level, things weren’t as clear as they could have been, and I think that it was difficult to recall, almost passed over for a false memory or something when I woke up. I woke and, being the morning already, told my girlfriend that I just had a lucid dream, explaining some of the detail before I woke up again. I have no idea why it is so hard to trigger during this part of my dreams, there are so many things out of place from actually waking that I would have thought it would be simple, but it really isn’t. Does my brain do that good of a job?
So tonight was a great night for dreaming, they were far easier to recall and I had a lucid (though the lucid was almost forgotten as it happens). As far as I know it was a spontaneous lucid dream, I just felt that it was off and instinctively knew. Mixing with the underwater breath check thing I did last night as well, this seems to be exactly the road I want to be on.
