- In bed – 9.32pm
- Lights off – 11.28pm
- Woke up – 9.24am
Day spent working and writing, with not a huge amount of SA, but I think the times I did were good. In bed I did lots of reading of Jude and LaBerge, with some mantras and heartbeat meditation.
Dreams
4.39am – A guy joins something like an Assassin’s guild (Funny that only certain things bleed into my dreams, like AC and Battlestar; maybe because they held so much of my attention for so long? More than some other TV does. I should try focus totally on Lucid Dreaming. Well more than I already am, which is probably easier said than done I should think). He was mentored under a really indoctrinated guy, and the new one was far less devoted. He kept doing stuff that looked bad for the guild. There was mixed in some facts, about how discuss’ actually change shape depending on how hot the air around them is. The new guy tested this by throwing a discuss, and knocking down a door, which exposed the mentor guy doing something compromising.
5.49am – Another moving dream! I went to the new house, I hadn’t been yet, and there was a little ginger boy peering through the windows and stuff, knocking on the door. I assumed he was some friend of one of my little brothers, but didn’t want to talk to him, so I left and went to the old house. But he was there before me. A little creeped out I ran back to the new house and went inside. In the kitchen I met a black cat who was attacking to me, as I was trying to get me to open the cupboards for him to get something to eat. He was drinking coke in his little cat bowl. The kid showed up knocking at the door again, and I hid, until I saw my mum walking down the stairs and opening the door. I assumed she knew him, and joined her. But the kid was a stranger; more strange than anything else. He was crazy and very thirsty, so I gave him some of the cat’s coke, which he drank. I then gave him more on his own plate, which he couldn’t work out, so he threw it all over his head. Very strange dream.
6.55am – I was hanging out with McFly, only they were really short and it was only two of them. We were climbing to the top of a large hill road, and they started singing one of their new songs that no one had heard before, when from nowhere the other members started harmonising with them. It was really good. Then they skateboarded down the hill, still singing. I tried to follow but the skateboard I was on only turned one direction.
9.23am – I don’t remember all of the detail of this one, but it was on the way to uni, and I was listening to ‘Can’t Stop’ by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers; only I had no music playing, I was testing out my audio visualisation skills. It played perfectly in my ears, I could actually hear it just from memory (something which I had thought about attempting to do, I don‘t know if it is possible, but it seems interesting, though it is something which I’m fairly sure I can do when intently focused on hearing something). It started with just a beat, then added the bass, and strings and piano, then finally the vocals. It all sounded perfect. I realised that it was unusual to do this with no music, so I made a note to listen to it properly later and find out if the vocals were actually the same and stuff. Then there was some relationship drama with a guy and a mother he was seeing. She didn’t want her child to see them together, even though the child really liked the guy. He climbed down from a balcony just as the child entered. There was also me and my girlfriend visiting a house next to a different school, this is where I listened to ‘Can’t Stop’ properly, and found it was a perfect match for the one I played in my head earlier in the dream, right down to the bizarre made up lyrics I had concocted (It should be noted that while recognisably the actual song, it was nothing like it, if that makes sense).
A good dream night, and definitely seem to be getting more music references. Now if only I was lucid and could remember the lyrics for these to write them down.
