- In bed – 9.00pm
- Lights off – 10.49pm
- Woke up – 7.45am
Today was my usual day, no need to re-write it out. There were a couple of moments of brilliant awareness and realisation, literally just a second or two where I realised exactly how everything I was seeing actually was. It’s hard to explain. Early night with good opportunity for med/mantra, not really taken.
Dreams
3.46am – Thanks for this one, ‘Lost’, the most plagiarised dream ever. I was on a plane with a few other people, going through a large storm. There was a button at the front that everyone as trying to urge me to press, but every time I got close to it, the whole world started to shake. I didn’t want to, but eventually pushed it like they said… We crashed in some field of grass and mud. So with super strength I began to clear the wreckage. I say wreckage but the plane didn’t actually break at all.
5.19am – At a cinema/shopping centre. It was showing a triple header, with part 3 to start soon (I believe part 2 was football highlights). I left to get a drink or something and wandered to a bookshop, just closing at 11pm. I remembered my dream prep and took a few deep breaths, really feeling the air in and out of my lungs, making noise as it went, and I noticed a few things around me, the walls and floor etc… though not feeling or touching them as I should have done. For some reason I didn’t follow this up with an actually RC so my musings at lucidity stayed just that, musings. In the shop I was greeted by a man, a mix between Varys (the character from the ‘Game of Thrones’ TV series) and snake-faced Lord Voldemort from the films. He said I couldn’t stay, and that he ‘never even touched me’. I found this a very weird phrasing, I knew he meant ‘saw’, but for whatever reason he said ‘touched’. Creepy. Back out, I noticed that the film was about to start, a cartoon version of ‘A Nightmare Before Christmas’. I went back and was very thirsty, drinking my brothers iced water and scaring staff members as I rounded the darkened curtains.
6.09am – This one I didn’t write sown in too much detail, but remember a bunch of us going to a town meeting or something. Outside the building we looked up and saw really bright stars for Venus and Jupiter (though one of them was Earth blue). Then suddenly a thousand shooting stars drifted across the sky, it was stunning, and has happened before in my dreams, almost as though looking at a long exposure of the night sky moving. One of my friends then greeted his old friend who was the last member to join us for the meeting, Mr Miyagi.
7.44am – A very dangerous taxi driver (more happened before this I think, but I can’t recall it) heading down all of the back roads, sliding around the corners and only stopping when his cars bashed gently into the opposite wall, then driving on. This was so real, so vivid, I really have trouble discerning it from actual memory, even now as I write. It ended a little less realistically, with the driver’s legs being trapped under some tarmac and a huge heavy thing falling or blown over, coming to crush the legs and cut them off. Luckily he pulled them out just in time.
A spectacular dreaming night, and very, very nearly lucid. My dream prep does consist of exactly what I did in my dream, though I usually ask myself how I got where I was too… my waking RC have become less frequent over the past months I suppose, I may need to remedy that. Also I have noticed some of my dreams becoming extremely realistic of late. Is this what people mean when they say they have vivid dreams? Either way, more real means more brain power, means more internal thought, means higher chance to RC and Lucid.
